Mike and Adam Rensel are software developers by trade and northern Michigan natives. They like to tinker and build things especially when there’s a problem to be solved.
They’ve had many summer campfire’s where they rambled about a multitude of ideas or cool things they could build and how those ideas could benefit colder regions. During the winters they miss all the local produce that’s abundant in the summer time and thought it would be cool to dabble in hydroponics.
One thing lead to another (possibly out of control) and they decided to take the plunge and start working on a high tech greenhouse which could grow produce year around while not breaking the bank on utilities. This blog will follow their tinkering and experiments as they work towards their goal. Mike is focused on the build out, while Adam is leading the software and technology design.
